Setup (30 min)
- Receive staff accounts spreadsheet from 1 CLICKAWAY
- Confirm staff names and roles are correct
- Set your admin PIN in the Admin Console
- Send the app URL to all staff via WhatsApp or email
- Optional: print QR code posters for ward rooms
Midday ยท All Staff
Staff Login (15 min each)
- Open 1clickway.com on their device
- Select their role and enter their username + PIN
- Tap "Add to Home Screen" when prompted
- Enable push notifications when prompted
- Done โ no download, no IT ticket
Afternoon ยท Live
First Real Requests
- Doctors submit first requests from ward PC or phone
- Interpreters receive push alerts and accept
- Admin watches live dashboard update in real time
- We are on WhatsApp throughout Day 1 if needed
Role-by-Role Guide
What each staff member needs to do
Each role takes under 5 minutes to set up. Share this page or print the relevant section.
Doctor
Ward PC, personal phone, or tablet
- 1Open 1clickaway.com/app.html in your browser. No download needed.
- 2Tap the centre button and select Doctor.
- 3Enter your username (given by admin) and PIN
001โ change it on first login. - 4To submit a request: tap New Request, select language, enter room/ward, choose urgency, tap Send.
- 5You will see the status update live โ Pending โ Assigned โ On the way โ Complete.
- 6NFC rooms: tap your phone to the room sticker โ the app opens pre-filled with that room. Confirm and send.
Interpreter
Personal phone โ must stay logged in on shift
- 1Open 1clickaway.com/app.html, select Interpreter, log in with your credentials.
- 2When prompted, allow notifications. This is required โ you will not receive alerts without it.
- 3Tap Add to Home Screen from the browser menu to install the app for quick access.
- 4Set your status to Available at the start of every shift. Set to Off Duty when leaving.
- 5When a request arrives, you will receive a push alert โ even if your phone is locked. Tap it to open the request and tap On my way.
- 6After the session, tap Complete. The admin can see the full session log.
โ ๏ธ iPhone users: extra step
On iOS, add to Home Screen first, then go to Settings โ 1 CLICKAWAY โ Notifications โ Allow Notifications. The app appears in Settings under its own name once installed.
Porter / GSA
Personal phone or ward tablet
- 1Open 1clickway.com/porter-app.html and log in with your GSA credentials.
- 2Allow notifications when prompted.
- 3Your home screen shows pending tasks assigned to you. Tap a task to view details.
- 4Tap Accept to claim a task, then Completed when done.
- 5Your supervisor sees your status live in the admin dashboard.
Nurse / Ward Staff
Ward tablet or nursing station PC
- 1Open 1clickway.com/ward-app.html and log in with your ward credentials.
- 2Your dashboard shows active tasks for your ward โ patient requests, rounds, and alerts.
- 3Submit a task by tapping New Task, selecting the category, and adding any notes.
- 4Head nurses see all staff tasks for the ward and can reassign or close them.
- 5Mark tasks done when complete โ this keeps the ward dashboard accurate for management.
For Admins
Go-live checklist

Before going live โ Admin must complete:
Confirm staff list: all names, roles, and departments are correct in the system
Set Admin PIN: Admin Console โ Settings โ Change PIN. Default PIN must be replaced.
Test one request end-to-end: submit a test request as a doctor, accept it as an interpreter, complete it. Verify it appears in the admin dashboard.
Share the app URL with all staff: send 1clickway.com via WhatsApp group or email with login instructions
Confirm all interpreters have notifications enabled โ check in Admin Console โ Staff โ each interpreter shows "Push: Active"
Print QR posters (if using NFC/QR rooms) โ Admin Console โ QR tab โ print per room
Set operating hours in Admin Console โ Settings if your interpreter service has defined shift hours
Common Questions
Day-one tips from hospitals already live
Staff forget to set status to Available. Remind interpreters and porters at the start of every shift. If nobody is marked Available, new requests go to Pending instead of being dispatched immediately.
iPhone users not getting push alerts. iOS requires an extra step โ after adding the app to the home screen, they must go to Settings โ Safari โ 1 CLICKAWAY โ Notifications โ Allow. Android does this automatically.
Doctors on ward PCs don't need to install anything. They just open the browser, go to the URL, and log in. The app works identically on desktop โ no download, no IT ticket.
Forgotten PINs. Admin can reset any staff PIN in Admin Console โ Staff โ [name] โ Reset PIN. The new PIN is set by the admin and the staff member changes it on next login.
Where to find reports. Admin Console โ Reports tab. Export to PDF or CSV. Includes: response times, completion rates, interpreter workload, and request volume by department.
